Lard is the rendered (melted and clarified) subcutaneous fat (belly or back fat) from a pig.

Leaf lard is the rendered visceral or kidney fat from a pig.

Both lard and leaf lard are used in Oynk skincare products. It is important to note that it is the QUALITY of the lard (or animal fat) that you use on your skin (or consume via your diet) that matters most of all, which is why Oynk products will only ever contain lard the lard of pasture raised pigs from regeneratively-managed farms. In short, this means pigs that are raised humanely in sunlight and fresh air, without chemicals). Currently, Oynk lard is purchased from regenerative farms in NSW only.

All lard is hormone and antibiotic free, entirely free ranging on chemical-free pasture, from NSW farms.
